My name is Piero Pausin,

I started photography as  a game in 1998 when I was 13 years old, with my dad's digital reflex camera (Olympus D-620L). At that time I used that camera without knowing the rules, (just shot), exclusively for the pleasure to have some pictures to remember the trips and travels I did with my friends.

Then in 2004 I decided to buy my first compact digital camera, a Nikon Coolpix 4300 that I used with poor skills, in auto mode, but that gave me some satisfaction. After a year I foolishly lost it, but this could be regarded as a fortunate event, instead of a misfortune. Of course it was a shame that I didn't possess a camera anymore, but soon I bought a Nikon Coolpix 5600. At that time I realized that I couldn't do anything I had in my mind with a compact camera, as the focus didn't work perfectly. So I learned more about photography, but I also understood the limits of a compact camera, and this is why losing my previous compact is a fortunate event for me. Iin February, 2006 (six months after I bought the last compact) I bought a Canon Powershot a620 , excellent camera, completely manual, with a high resolution. After buying it I decided to join the Circolo Fotografico Triestino with Andrea Verni and Michele Degano , and at the same time I studied the National Geographic course together with other online courses.

Finally, some months ago I received as a present the body of the Canon EOS 20D , that is the camera that gives me complete satisfaction, with which I took the great part of the pictures present on this website..

I hope to update this page very often as I'm only 21 years old, and I would like to learn many, many things about photography..
