Venezia
Venezia... everyone knows Venezia.
Is the capital city of Veneto, and is located in the middle of the Venetian lagoon, between the open sea and the coastal line, to which is linked by two bridges, one for the rail and one for the road.
The city is unique for its story, its art and culture, making Venezia one of the world's principal destinations for sightseeing.
A great number of canals, and a thread of narrow streets (known as calli) are extended all over the city, becoming its main characteristic, although preventing us from using cars in it  :)
Many spots of Venice are shown in the pictures: from San Marco square, beating heart of the city, to the Rialto Bridge, to less known places.

The pictures were took both in daylight and at night time

Enjoy the pictures,

Castello

The Miramare Castle is situated along the seacost of Triest (Italy) above the promontory with its same name.
This Castle built for the archduke Maximilian of Habsburg (brother of the emperor Francesco Giuseppe). He had been affected from the beauty of the place and so he decided to set there its mansion-house.

This eclectic building was planned by Carl Junker and it was built from 1853 to 1860. Then Maximilian with his wife, Carlotta of the Belgium, moved on their new home. In 1864 the couple left the city to go in Mexico where Maximilian will be elected emperor. He will be killed in Mexico and so he will never return to Miramare.
Massimiliano was fond of botanics so it set up a 22 hectares park all around the Castle. There was planted a great variety of plants, some of which rare and tropical, that are survived until now.
The Castle became a museum in 1955. Today is one of the historic place most visited in Italy.

You can get to the Castle by car: in the end of the A4 highway, passing the Lisert toll-house and then continue 12 km in Trieste's direction.

PHOTOS: have been taken in september with a Canon eos 20d, some with 17-85, other with 10-22 objectives.

Paularo

Ligosullo is a small village situated near the Paularo valley in North-East of Italy. In Ligosullo we can visit the Valdajer castle, which has been totally rebuilt and now it is an hotel/cabin.

During the hike in this place the weather was quite foule, as you can see in my pictures. So I didn't shot many photos.

From the Valdajer Castle it's possible to get at Dimon peack. We didn't go there because during the walk we couldn't see anything over 10 meters.

Enjoy my pictures,
